A hoppy brown ale brewed with Muscovado sugar and cacao nibs to balance the bitterness of healthy doses of American hops. It has a nutty flavour with subtle hints of liquorice coming through, giving the beer complexity that satisfies the palate.

22nd August 2022; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange gathering in Chez Sophie. Usual 5 in attendance, tonight's 'Cobweb Beer' is a 330ml bottle of this; Best Before August 2016, so only 6 years out of date, brewed in 2015. It's brown with a beige head, just beginning to show it's age a little, but still has a decent aroma and strong Brown Ale feel to it's nose and flavour.

Clear deep brown - amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has good fine carbonation. A slight earthiness in the mild malts, whisper of roast and thin cream. Decent piney hops and a light hop spice. Touch of tangy fruits before the dry finish. Comes together well enough, just a tad dry.

0,33l bottle at home. Bottled 08/2015, BB 08/2016. black color, medium big tan head. smells of licorice, light exotic fruits, some stale hops, grass, hints of vanilla, spices. ok smell not overly exciting. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, charcoal, coffee, cucumber, spices, light peppery, bitter chocolate. finishes lightly bitter with notes of licorice and coffee. decent enough, bit of a unclean taste, but still drinkable.
