Opaque ruby brown colour, good frothy tan head, receding slowly, light lacing. Aroma toasted malts, cocoa, mocha, light dark fruits. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, chocolate. Finish dry bitter, roasted notes, medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, bit thin porter, nice though.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is smoky roasted malt. The flavour is moderate to light roasty bitter with a light watery metallic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Bottle. Black body with a thick tan head. Light lacing. Aroma of cranberry, Marmite and new leather shoes. Flavour of roasted malt and metal. Thin body with a frothy texture. Lively fizz. Not a huge amount of flavour, but at this ABV I suppose that’s not much of a surprise.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cocoa, hints of mocha, a touch of dark berries. Taste is dry hoppy, roasty dark malty, hints of cocoa, dark bread, dark chocolate, dark berries, a touch of mocha; though everything seems to be there and without being watery the low abv is perceptible like the lower quality of compressed data types.
