Brewed in collaboration with Wright Bros Ltd; This stout is brewed with Morecambe Bay & Lindisfarne Oysters. We added the shells, flesh and liquor to provide a creamy, rich mouthfeel. Expect intense roastiness with subtle savoury and briney notes from the oysters leading to a sweet, silky finish.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma grassy hop, light roasted malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeast, grassy hop, light chocolate, toasty palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. More like a black IPA than a stout.

Bottle at home, 24/12/15. BBNO rake # juan hundred. Black with a well appointed khaki covering that retains well. A real looker of a beer. Nose is earthy roast, liquorice, toffee fudge, dark fruit rinds, light cocoa. Taste comprises light roast, trace of spice, liquorice, charr, raisens, earthy I treacle toffee, cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a flicker of hops in the background. Solid stout.

Keg at bbno. It pours darkest brown / black with a massive light tan head. The nose is savoury, earthy, meaty, earthy roast, berry/dark fruit sweetness and light medicinal notes. The taste is bitter, rich roast, sea salt, umami, charred wood, liquorice, peppery spice, drying and coffee grounds with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Plenty of umami going down. Rich, robust and interesting. Good oyster stout.
