Our champion Mild has a smooth character and taste notes of chocolate malt, which gives this beer plenty of flavour and belies its strength. A British classic crafted to our brewers special recipe makes this a nutty mild and despite being only 3.2% abv it's packed full of flavour.
Hobsons Mild is brewed in the style of a traditional dark coloured Mild ale, using Maris Otter malting barley, pale chocolate malt and crystal malt and British variety hops Fuggles and Goldings from Worcestershire.
In 2019 The Champion won GOLD at the regional CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain Awards!

Cask@Proeflokaal Delft. Malty caramelly aroma. Thin but very pleasant caramelly malty flavor with pear, pineapple. Subtle caramelly earthy citric aftertaste. A lot of character for a mild.

Cask at Waterloo Tap. As 'Champion Mild' Vague malty nutty aroma. Dark chestnut. Frothy if blotchy light beige head. Light bitter roast with some burnt caramel sweetness and a nutty core. Medium bodied if watery. Flat-soft carbonation. Long low key finish. It's bland but I had I could sit here and drink a few. And that's after a large lunch which I'm regretting. A soft beer.

6-3-6-3-12 Cask @ Euston tap, London. Pours mahogany, with a creamy, mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with bread and caramels, as well as herbal hops with nuts and earthy notes. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is bready malts with caramels, and just enough earthy, herbal hops to keep the balance.
