A little warmonger of an IPA named after that little warmongering Corsican. This Blondie has ‘le petit caporal’ written all over it. A bombastic fruity flavor, a dynamite character and an oversized opinion of itself. And just like The Little Corporal, the package is small but the bite is big. West Coast beer fans know a charismatic Belma hopped IPA when they drink one.

13/XI/20 - 44cl can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: 25/V/21, canned: 25/VIII/20 (2020-1051)

Clear orange beer, thick creamy dense off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely, some yellow stone fruit, white grapes, pears, hint of cookies, malty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice bitterness up front, bit sweet and malty, fruity touch, some caramel, very bitter, resinous, decent. Aftertaste: fruit, some tropical fruits, bit of caramel, very bitter, some orange peel, mango, lovely beer!

Can. Golden pour. Aroma of citrus, orange, some yeast esters, malt, oat and grapefruit. Taste has bitter orange zest, citrus, grapefruit, oat, wheat, mango and bready malt. Nice, less Belgian than I expected.

Typische uiltje IPA, prima dus. De hop komt heel bloemig over, ook vrij droog.

Can. Blonde. Floral, grassy hops and a hint of citrus in the aroma and flavor. Hopbitter finish.

Can shared at Lokaal Duinoord. Clear golden wirh small white head. Dank weedy hops, stinky cheese,herbal, matches, pils malts, orange peel. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Quite OK.

Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of green weedy hops, dank hopes, grassy, lemon. Flavour is above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
