This one’s pretty decent. Some roast and some dark chocolate. Pours black with great pillow of mocha head and great lacing. Light bitter finish. Touch of caramel. Nitro at brewpub.

Handpump at the brewpub, 5.2% ABV
Dark brown color, almost black. Served with no carbonation and warmer that expected (also warmer than the promised 10°C), the feeling is very positive, with some chocolate and cardboard aroma, caramel and chocolate flavor (mild); there is a light sour vein too. Good.

Cask handpull at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Black with red edges. Lasting tan head. Liquorice tarry stout, some choc, little bit of smoke, smooth in mouth leads to a molasses dryness on end. Some smokey charcoal, nice, but again lacks a bit of depth. Nice enough

Handpump - sold as black stout. Very dark, nice brown lacing head. Light roast and chocolate aroma. Good chewyness, lightish body. Fine oaty, light burned toast and chocolate flavors. Chocolate lingers on in the aftertaste. Very nice easy drinkable stout.

Sampled as Blackstout. Dark brown colour. Light roasty, chocolatey aroma. The flavour is similar with a light roasty bitterness and fairly sweet back note. Simple stout, but not bad.
