Bottled. Copper colour with a mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is toasted caramel malts, mild port wine and some toffee with a bit of spiciness and alcohol to it as well. Flavour is muscovado, some honey, port wine, spices, alcohol, yeast and some caramel and mild toasted tones. As it warms up the alcohol gets a bit more evident, but not ruining the beer though.

Not a ton of Port characteristic but certainly a delicious blonde, full of flavor. Complex. Film: Woyzeck

0.33 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', 2020 vintage, bottled in November 2022. Hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently vinous-fruity, a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of molasses, vanilla, port, oak and honey with a touch of plum. Quite sweet, malty, gently vinous-fruity and a little yeasty-spicy taste of molasses, honey, vanilla, port, plum and oak, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, gently woody-dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty BSA with pleasant port flavours, decent BA beer from Struise again.

Quite bitter taste and very young, will need some time to develop in a great winter beer... So, stock those bottles in the cellar and wait probably 2 years and it will be great. This is not meant to be on a tap list.

Backlog November 2017. 2013 Vintage. Slightly unclear golden body with lively carbonation under a moderate sized tan head. Aroma is slightly oxidated with malt, caramel and dry fruit. Pleasant taste of caramelized malt, toffee, dry fruit, vinous and balanced oxidation. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice sipper.
