330 ml can at the Taproom. Pours a reddish black with short tan head. Aromas of oaky bourbon, copper, dark caramel, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate liqueur, more oaky bourbon, dark sugars, and oily roasted malts with a little bit of black currant. Very good.

Can. Nose is roast, peat, soy, hints of licorice, ash, light fruity blackcurrant. Taste is soy, licorice, salt, hints of chocolate, leading to fuller dark chocolate, roast, lightly fruity blackcurrant, the fruity notes emerge as it opens up and some very sweet candied fruit notes emerge. Praline, hints of vanilla ice cream, hazelnut, almond, touch of marzipan. It's a really good example, but I don't love it as much as the earlier editions, looking at my notes I suspect it's my changing palate as much as the beer, but this feels over sweet in the finish.
