Bottle share with München Ratebeer tasting group at Jonas's house Garching. Monday 17th February 2020. Pours chestnut brown with an off white head, a light hoppiness dancing around with the chocolate, liquorice and, this is jolly good.

Bottle. Darkest brown, low head. Hop aromatics on toasty sweet roast, nice british sensibilities. Medium body, mellow, dry roasty, light dry, rye bread, a hint barn, chocolate and roast, perfume retronasal. Nice!

Bottle, many thanks dantomlinson! Opaque brown color with soapy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, mild soy sauce, liquorice, some british hops. Taste is chocolate, milk chocolate, grains, not too sweet, some grassyish hops in the back. Low carbonation. Solid!

Gift from Daniel Tomlinson. Thin beige head soon left a spotty cover on rich dark brown still body. Malt, liquorice & spice aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the palate thinning out to the back with little carbonation. Liquorice, aniseed, stone fruit, malt, sugar & tar tastes.

Pendle Beer Festival 2019. Black, sweet, heavy tasting as it's strength is very evident. It has a sticky-sweet texture and its liquorice influence is light.
