Almost clear reddish amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light with mild fine carbonation. Smooth malts, nice mild dark chocolate and a touch of earthy coffee. Light pine hops with lesser citrus. Light dry finish. Nicely joined up and flavoursome.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark chestnut brown pour with a creamy tan head, mixture of hop and toffee in the aroma, taste has dark fruits, coffee, some toffee, pleasant bitter finish.

Bottle. Nose is mango, slight grapefruit - more new world IPA than brown ale. Taste is malt, slight coffee, leading to tropical fruits, mango, slight smoke note.Mouthfeel is fine. It feels more like a malty American pale, which is perfectly fine, but not what was on the bottle.
