For Gabe is a one-off Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and Barleywine blend created to honor our friend Gabe Fletcher of Anchorage Brewing Company and their 10 year anniversary. Inspired by a favorite Anchorage beer of ours, we blended threads of Derivation, BBT and OWK, with threads of Anabasis and MJK. The threads rested in some of our favorite bourbon barrels for 22 to 28 months before blending. Happy Anniversary Gabe!

On tap at the brewery. Black with small brownish head. Lots of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, sweet with some bitterness. Smooth texture. Medium bodied.

Draught at the Brewery, 9/30/23. Dark, inky, viscous, no head. Rich, rich bourbon, soft vanilla, tons of elegant spice and liquor. Chocolate, raisin, toffee, hints of roast. Clean, not boozey. Very nicely aged, polished notes with no excess sugar. Huge mellow bourbon. Chocolatey, rich, succulent with toffee-vanilla-chocolate and spicy bourbon. Thick, viscous but not overly sweet. No heat. So cohesive and polished. Elegant as hell with complex malt character and hybrid barleywines vibes.

Pours black, no real head. Smell is creamy, intense, rich bourbon, vanilla. Taste is full, intense, bourbon. Roasty, chocolate, mild booze. intense barrel ! When opened up, the strong boozyness fades and makes way for far more chocolate and vanilla. very nice indeed !

750ml bottle. Stingy, hot with bourbon notes, mild roastiness, vanilla, oak, toffee, cocoa, chocolate, syrup, caramel and warming alcohol. Quite complex and balanced. Quite aggressive in the beginning but gets a lot more smoother after it opens up and warms up. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours black with large frothy tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma strong bourbon, roast, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, toffee. Slick body, roast, wood, vanilla, caramel, dark fruit, so much barrel, really enjoyed this.

Barleywine business upfront, stout party finish, gnarly barrel notes, mad smooth and delish.
