Bottled 2/15/16, drunk 7/23/16.
Dark, chestnut-mahogany brown body show low clarity and a small, light tan head with no retention.
Very straightforward dark chocolate, fudge and light roast in the nose is balanced lightly by a roasty coffee showing a bit of age. Crunchy, earthy and grainy, with lots of spice and light phenol. No booze though, fortunately and no flaw, really.
Softer, sweeter and with light coffee suggestions. Light bodied and not particularly vinous or acidic. Yet it’s not thick and syrupy so theres no real need for it. Chocolate, graham cracker and such with stale coffee with light alcohol and a loose palate.

500 ml bottle, Thanks for the share Willrunforbeer! Black stout.mAroma has tons of fresh ground coffee that is lushes and bright. The taste is good amount fresh brewed coffee and brownie batter base. Nice balance of coffee and chocolate. Alcohol is totally hidden and the body is about what you want in the style. Nice.

50CL bottle, split a few ways at cellar temp. reddish brown. The aroma is very subdued. very light coffee aroma, raisin, vanilla and molasses. Excellent mouthfeel. soft, filling, delicate. the flavor more like a lactose coffee beer. it’s very subtle but coffee is certainly the arching flavor here followed by vanilla, chocolate and dark fruits.

Draft. Black body with a tan head, diminishing. Sweet aroma of chocolate, roast, coffee and cream. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of sugared mocha coffee that carries a light bitterness, roast and light alcohol.

Keg at the Funkatorium. Pours a dark brown with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of rich chocolate, coffee, bourbon and a mild tart finish. The taste is bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, vanilla and a bitter finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.
