(Can) Pours hazy amber with good white head. Pleasant aroma of candy and malt. Good mouthfeel - medium body with good bright carbonation. Sweet candy and malt start with some fruity notes is quickly displaced by some strong hoppy bitterness which is just a little harsh. Good but not great.

From a 375ml can on 19/8/2020. Pours a slightly cloudy deep golden with a medium white head. Smells pretty their other ales, and not overtly fruity as is typical for the style. Has a distinct yet subdued fruity sweetness up front, the Coopers malt in the background and a medium bitterness at the back. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Certainly not out there by any means, but a quaffable and well made beer if more Coopers than hazy in style if that makes sense. Sparkling is my most common fridge filler but this would do just as well.

375ml can into schooner glass. From Cellarbrations, Inverell. Cloudy amber beer with high fine carbonation, frothy white head. Some lacing. Aroma of malt, spice, aniseed, fruit. Bitter taste, lingering bitter lemon finish. Obviously a Coopers brew, spicier than the sparkling ale, not as sharp as the XPA, obvious alcohol notes. Kinda like a super charged Coopers.

Obviously Coopers should do a hazy IPA. Can. Cloudy with an off white head that fades from an inch to a fat coat. Aroma is dominated by spicy, weedy and orchard fruit (surprise). Hints of grapefruit and mandarin behind. 7- Soft but fizzy texture. There's definitely some citrusy hops in there but they get monstered by the Coopers yeast. But the bitterness is sufficient along with a drying finish to tie it together. So yes, the beer is very much what you'd guess - Coopers Red with a more decisive finish but not enough aromatic hops to win anybody new over.
