On the very day I am drinking this beer - 55 years ago Paul McCartney was announcing he is leaving The Beatles. Probably the end of a golden era for some, this golden beer has some dour moments about it too, namely its floral aroma and aftertaste.

500ml bottle: BB 20th Apr 2022. Found and drank at my parents house on 23rd Jun 2021. Clean and clear golden body, swiftly departing white head. Grassy hop nose, malty front to the taste. Fine quaffing ale and a good easy start to my mini holiday down in Devon.

[50cl bottle from Morrisons, Bracknell.] A bright golden amber pour with a fast fading white head; grassy aroma; reasonable malty caramel taste with a light floral bitterness and lots of gas; then some rich tea biscuits to finish. Drinkable, but rather bland.

500ml bottle. Clear gold, thin head, some retention. Aroma of bread, caramel, flora, citrus. Taste is bread malts, caramel, orange, flora. Mild bitterness in the finish. Pleasant enough for sure, but this tastes old hat and not in a good traditional way, more of a stale I've been doing this 30 years way.
