Ich habe mein "Antoniana Stile Vienna" in der Flasche in einem bekannten Wiener Innenstadt-Bierlokal getrunken, wo es natürlich als Spezialität angepreisen wurde. Dementsprechend neugierig war ich natürlich. Aber schon als ich es einschenkte und daran roch, verflog die Freude recht schnell. Es roch wie eine Mischung aus Malzbonbon und Melasse. Aber gut, ich habe dafür bezahlt, da musste ich es auch trinken. Auch der Geschmack war nicht das meinige: Die klebrige braune Brühe hinterlies einen widerlich süßlichen Geschmack nach alten Süßkartoffeln und Melasse. Die Brauerei mag eine interessante Geschichte haben, aber dieses Bier war einfach widerlich.

Flaske fra Vinens verden (Odense), på hotellrommet i Stockholm: brunlig rav med højt skum som varer. Blomsteraktig, sødmefylt aroma og smak - mye (karamell)malt og honning. Kunne tenkt meg litt mer humle for balansens skyld, blir for søtt i lengden. Kanskje pga for varm serveringstemperatur.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-amber colour with a huge and off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty, delicately toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, butterscotch and shy fruity esters. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Mildly dark and toasted malty base with notes of caramel and subtle fruity flavours; sweet-bitter, slightly toasted and delicately hoppy and fizzy finish. 30.XI.14

330ml bottle. Clear, light amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Hard to describe grassy, herbal, spicy hoppy aroma with cautious hints of mint, tobacco, green leaf widely disguises a mellow caramel malty basis. Taste is quite similar, contingently with a dry, fruity touch of red berries and their parings; hardly subsumable alike. Meh.

Bouteille 33cl partagée avec Tderoeck, merci! Ambrée-cuivrée, col blanc-cassé. Arôme est assez agréable offrant une belle palette de malt caramel assez doux, rétro moyen de levure. Palais est malté, pâle, léger caramel, grillé et petite rondeur de malt Vienna?, pointe d’épice et un houblonné moyen laissant une trace d’amertume moyenne. Léger herbacé avec ici aussi un profil très allemand.
