Go all in with Diceman jet black silky smooth stout. A bold combination of dark malts creates a smoky aroma of toffee & plums and a warming flavour of liquorice and dried fruits with an alluring cocoa sweetness and a bitter coffee finish. An odds on favourite.

Bottled (from MiniMani Vaasa). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is some oats, mild toasted and some mild rye bready tones and actually a bit oyster stouty elements. Flavour is roasted malts, some wood, mild oyster stouty tones with oats and some mild salty tones. Quite ok.

Bottle from Morrisons Supermarket, Eccles. Fairly smooth and certainly crisp near black stout with an off-white frothy head. More dark malty than roasted.

Bottle from my local off-licence ‘Wine Rack’. Pours black with a large thick creamy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts and milk chocolate, with a hint of coffee and liquorice. Taste has more roasted malts, chocolate with again hints of coffee and liquorice. A roasty slightly bitter finish. Medium body with a fairly smooth oily mouthfeel. Average stout.
