Bottle. Deep brown color with a nice head. Nutty cereal aroma. Malty, good dunkel flavor. Good stuff.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is toasted malt with notes of caramel. Bit metallic, flavour is inappropriately sourish with a mild bitterness. Light to medium body. Not the kind of Dunkel I'd hoped for.

500ml bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear amber - brown with a bubbly white head. The aroma is earthy, leafy, brown bread, toasty spice, touch of toffee and fruit cake. The taste is dryish upfront, bitter - sweet character, touch of caramel/toffee, brown bread, some spice, earthy, leaf and some walnut with a dry finish. Average body and fairly mellow carbonation. Nothing wrong with it, perhaps just a bit forgettable. Ok.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, copper colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, weak, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, mildly bitter, grassy hoppy, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of sour malt, sorrel. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Well controlled sweetness, a bit monotonous - OK.

Bottle. Clear pale amber/copper with a beautiful huge white head. Lacing deluxe. Aroma of malts, honey, caramel and metal. Taste of honey, malts, some grass, caramel, a hint of nuts and more metal. Low bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Süffig. Alright.
