Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Drunk on the train to Ashford. Now I love me a biere de garde. There will also be a shed load of WWI beers released this year. Hoppy aroma with some Flanders yeast too. Sweeter in the mouth than I expected. Decent though. Decent hop on the finish. Reminds me of a low powered American Red. Decent. Bit too sweet maybe.

Bottle [thanks to jmgreenuk] @ home. Clear rusty orange color, medium to full sized off-white head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy and fruity. Taste malts, hops, a touch of dried fruits, pretty bitter. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice beer for sure, but whether it really is a biere de garde? I doubt it. Pretty enjoyable nevertheless.

Hoppy aroma with hints of pine, slighlty hazy golden color, rather thin head dissapears quickly. Hoppy taste of caramel, pine, bitter grapefruit, some floral flavor. Nice bitter finish with hints of caramel. Medium-lively carbonation. Overall: really nice one, would drink again.

Very hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little soft. Light airy creamy malt.. Sweet piney hops with smooth orange citrus. Whisper of red berry fruits. Smooth finish. Well joined up and tasty.

Bottle from Oddbins, Bristol. Slightly hazy amber with a decent, white head and moderate carbonation. Big, hoppy aroma, with a touch of Belgian yeast, creamy malts and a lengthy, bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle at Bruce’s new pad, from Oddbins LB, 15/10/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white covering. Nose is tarte fruits, bitter orange, fishy, straw, lemon rind, pinch of spice, earthy nose. Taste comprises orange pith, straw, tarte apricot, little pepper. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finish. Decent for style.
