Nydelig. Masse frukt og mørke smaker. Drikkes til Heimdals 99% bitter sjokolade som snacks - og de matcher og *trenger* hverandre.

330ml bottle. Dark brown-ruby colour, foamy beige head and aroma of caramel & molasses. Taste is sweet caramel malt, brown sugar, chocolate, dark fruits, raisins, followed by some spicy bitterness and a slight warmth through to the finish. Smooth mouth feel, medium bodied, soft carbonation. Quite OK.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown with an inch of tan head. Aroma of dark toffee, dried berries, licorice, coffee. Syrupy mouthfeel. Taste has more roasted flavours than suggested by the aroma, treacle sweetness, licorice, firm spicy bitterness. Quite astringent at the end. Probably would have liked this better after more time in the bottle.

Cask (handbottled, thanks K.K.). Pitch black colour, no head. Aroma is wooden, roasted malty, fruity with some slight acidic notes as well. Flavour is roasted malts, some acidic wooden notes as well as mild alcoholic sweetness. Also some slight tones of rye bread lurking.
