25/XI/20 - 33cl can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: 4/VII/21 (2020-1082)
Pretty cloudy orange blond beer, small irregular aery white head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, orange peel, some almonds, ripe tropical fruits, little dank. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, pretty fruity, citrus notes, bit sugary, very bitter, resinous hops. Aftertaste: sweet and fruity, quite some white grapes, nice bitterness, tropical fruits, good stuff, some grapefruit, little malty.

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Heerlijke Hazy DIPA die niet te zoet of te vruchtensappig is. Bloemig en fruitig, droog en juicy tegelijk, goede bitter. Medium body. Hier lust ik er meer van.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Good piney hops and you would expect nothing less from HBC 692 or Talus as it will now be called. A nice layer of sweet candy fruits over soft and ripe tropical fruits. Light piney finish. Yeah it comes together very well. Shows even more aspects of this great new hop. Not surprised it has gone from experimental to marketed so quickly.

Can. Blonde. Mango, citrus and Dextro energy in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, floral.

Pours a murky golden yellow colour and a small NEIPA head. Aroma's: onion, resin, fruity. Retronasal it's harsh resin, sweetish, earthy bitter. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light earthy bitter. Medium bodied. Some hopburn. Earthy bitter finish. Mmm, not sure about this HBC 692. RIP Eddie Van Halen.
