Bottle at home in London - picked up at City Beverage Company, London. Pours clear, deep gold with a moderate, frothy white head. The aroma has lots of bready malts, some cereal, hints of ripe orange. Medium sweet flavor with lots of lightly toasted bready malts, some caramel, mild bitter cereal grains, touches of orange. Light to medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish, more sugary bread, light bitter toasted hay. Decent stuff.

Craft Clerkenwell. Martin T tasting. Light haxe on this amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Light palate, semi dry. Little papery caramel malt. Whisper of dried fruits. Light dry finish.

Bottle at the Martin T tasting, CBC, 06/06/13. Thanks to whoever brought this along. Clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is malt forward, caramel, fruit, spice. Taste comprises light floral notes, caramel, fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Pretty bland affair - the colourful label was the highlight for me!

33cl bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras. Clear deep amber colur with a lasting beige head. Not a great lager aroma. Quite malty on aroma. My god in the mouth this is poor. I mean there are people in Franconia who wouldn’t touch this with the tyre of their perfectly maintained bicycle. I am sure they mean well, and there is some malt thing going on and possibly some hop on the end, but I mean, well. British lagers are still just not anywhere close on the whole to what a kellerbier or landbier or pilsner or half decent lager should be. The Saaz does eventually kick in. I thought I was going to have to drain pour it, but I did manage to finish it.
