Can from Beerdome. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, tropical fruits, flowers, malt and has a nice long bitter fruity finish.

Can. Pours a hazy yellow with thick initial head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very interesting, some very peculiar hops notes here. Pepper, raspberry and gooseberry, some peach and tropical notes. Very interesting. Medium body. Smooth and creamy, nice malt body, good sweetness. Really creamy, with lots of tropical fruit. Passion fruit, some hints of coconut, peach, some gooseberry. Really nice, very fruity IPA.

11th November 2020 Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts bring a light creamy sweetness. Hops are interesting. I would like to think I know Southern Passion and Lotus hops by now, but African Queen is a new one on me. A black pepper vibe is pretty obvious and upfront and I get the lemongrass for sure albeit somewhat thin and bitterish. After that, things get complicated. More complicated that shopping with the Mrs for new clothes and trust me, that is complicated. There is a very slight dank vibe but it's a supporting act at best. Light pine into to some fairly spicy and bright citrus, somewhat thin though. A mild creamier citrus on the back end that is probably the Lotus. Dominant flavour is very much black pepper (yes maybe a little chilli too) and lemongrass which I assume is African Queen asserting itself. A whisper of Gooseberry if you are looking for it, I am. The promised (from the hop sellers) blueberry, stone fruit and bubblegum elude me. Still, this is a punchy punchy hop. Can see a lot of brewers having a lot of fun with it. Thanks as always to Lobik for bringing the cutting edge in hoppage and in to a well brewed and quaffable dipa. Addendum, a little stone fruit in the aftertaste as the beer warms up.

Can sourced from Beerdome and shared at home (12/09/2020) - hazed up orange with a white head. Interesting South African hop combination here (including a new one) some mango and grapefruit, touch of pineapple coming through, grassy light floral hoppy notes going on, sweet malty backing, bitter robust hoppy finish. Nice.
