Bottle from Sainsburys. Straw coloured with a slight white head. Light aroma of hay, ash, a hint of tangerine and grassy hop. Flavour had slightly corny malts, more fruit and some caramel sweetness, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Fine clear golden colour with a small white head. Slightly soapy aroma and texture but plenty of light fruitiness in its mild pale taste. Smooth.

Bottle at home in London. Pours perfectly clear gold, bright, with a fine, foamy white head. Aroma holds dry crackers, straw, pale malts. Light sweet flavor, more pale malts, some dry biscuits, toasty leaves, light grass, straw, mild dry lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp and quite clean on the finish with a surprisingly nice bitter bite, dry straw, hay, light grass and leaves, very faint dirt, modest pale malt sweetness, dry biscuits. Very acceptable stuff.

Bright golden colour. Aroma is quite fruity, citrusy. Flavour has a soft fruity feel at first then quickly becomes dry and bitter in the finish. Very refreshing.

Head disappeared quickly and after being quite lively when I poured it it soon went flat.A strangely balanced flavour, quite sweet at first taste and then almost sour afterwards. A little bland but drinkable.

Another IPA from Greene King! This one came in a clear 500ml bottle (best before Aug 2013): poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard during Aug 2012. Lager like: clear golden body with a thin white head on top. Lemon/citrusy nose and taste, a bit too well carbonated (slightly too fizzy for me). As the beer warmed in the glass it became a little fruiter and sweeter; malty notes started to arrive. It still however had a hop bitter finish and I found it quiet refreshing and pleasant (apart from the fizziness) for a beer from a brewery that I’m not overly keen on.
