Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#83. MONT SAINT-MICHEL. Bought from a range of about five from the brewer at the Abbey shop of Mont Saint-Michel, and drank shortly afterwards. It's a fairly standard stout with hints of roasted malts amongst a more dominant floral dark-malty aroma and taste.

Bottle shared courtesy of Grumbo with ITFCDan. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and cocoa. Very carbonated which takes away from the taste.

31/8/2024. Bottle courtesy of Jerseyislandbeer, cheers. Lively on opening. Pours very dark brown with a frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, caramel, berries, dark fruits, roasted malt. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, quite carbonated.

Bottle from C‘2 Normandie Dieppe. Deep black with a mid-sized beige-brown head. Roasty flavours, earthy, slightly smoky with dark chocolate and shy coffee.

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, creme head. Not as black as expected from a Sout. Aroma: Dark malt, floral hints, some hop. Taste: Dark malt, roasted malt, fruity hints of dark fruit and floral hints. Moderate to over moderate sweet and hopbitter. Once again not as roasted as you would expect from a Stout. Somewhere in between Stout, Black IPA and dark Brown Ale. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Ok.
