Bottled@SBWF2014. Hazy amber colour with an off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is nutty, sweet malts and some herbal tones. Flavour is herbal, some fruity, floral and mild nutty tones with some toasted and biscuity malts to it. Good one, considering the slightly lower abv.

Bottle, 500ml. Historic rated, source not noted. Poured hazy amber orange with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, citrus, grapefruit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

(Keg at Woolshed, 20170331) The beer poured amber and nearly cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, caramel and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, vegetables, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. An unclean sweet brew.

(Cask at Lyric, Soho, London, 28 Nov 2016) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, nutty, slightly roasted nose with caramel, dark bread and red fruit. Malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, bread and earthy hops in a finish with balanced bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced, with rounded malt character and a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Clitheroe Beer Festival 2016. Clear darker copper coloured ale. The ale has a sweetness in both aroma and taste, but also a very light malty bitterness. It’s sticky-sweet in its texture to an extent.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - pine and grapefruit, light red fruits and crystal malts. Taste - crystal malt, grapefruit. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yeah well made beer.
