660ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Session with Finn and lmojoh. Huge, beige head slowly diminishing over a next-to-clear amber, dark reddish body, Quite inviting aromas of stewed fruits and almond. Fine blended taste of fruity caramel, wood, some herbal hops and bread-like malts. A rather sharp spicy touch to a sweet, dried fruity ending. Fine depth. Likable. (Tromsø 10.02.2022).

Bottle. Hard to find some more information about this beer, according tothe website of an Italian beershop this is a blend between their beers Grateful Deaf (Black Rye IPA flavored with Habanero chillies) and Porpora (Hopped Bock) both aged in French oak barrels, previously used in the production of red Valtellina Superiore wine. Color: Dark ruby. Big, long lasting beige head. Aroma: Caramel, dark fruit. Taste: Dark and some roasted malt, caramel, warming, pretty strong but not overwhelming pepper, dark fruit. Subtle herbal notes, from the rye I presume, and light smoky notes. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitter. Subtle pepper stays at the more bitter and bit roasted finish. Medium to over medium body, below average carbonation, bit foamy mouthfeel. I think I don't recognize anything of the oak and red wine from the barrel aging, only just little oak hints maybe, nevertheless I do like this beer.
