Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of bourbon and vanilla notes with light banana notes is quite enticing. Taste is a great mix between some bourbon notes with rich black chocolate notes, some residual sugar with vanilla and light banana notes. Body is full with rich creamy texture and good carbonation with very light warming alcohol notes also perceptible. Very enjoyable pastry stout with great drinkability.

Brown bottle, 750 ml, 10.5%, gift from Philippe Boutin (merci!) on February 21, 2020, savoured on February 21, 2020; eye: black, opaque, no effervescence, ring of brown head, a few alcohol pearls; nose: banana, oak, bourbon, light alcohol, vanilla, light chocolate, light malt; mouth: banana, oak, bourbon, light alcohol, vanilla, light chocolate, light malt, finale in banana with presence of bourbon, medium body, average carbonation, mildly sweet, soft and slightly alcoholic texture; in summary: quite likable FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 750 ml, 10,5 %, cadeau de Philippe Boutin (merci!) le 21 février 2020, savourée le 21 février 2020; œil : noire, opaque, pas d’effervescence, anneau de mousse brune, quelques perles d’alcool; nez : banane, chêne, bourbon, léger alcool, vanille, léger chocolat, léger malt; bouche : banane, chêne, bourbon, léger alcool, vanille, léger chocolat, léger malt, finale en banane avec présence de bourbon, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, moyennement sucrée, texture moelleuse et très légèrement alcoolique; en résumé : bien aimé

750ml (thx, Jonathan D.!) at Matt's amenity room. Appearance: deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: 🍌 🍌 🍌 sweet, dried, and unripe, all over around, with a nice berries forward bourbon and some vanilla notes. Taste: omg, it is along the same lines with tons of bourbon and vanilla. Overall: very nice, the only complaint here - it's not that thick as it should be.

Jet black brown with a small light brown head. Just banana. Syrupy sweet chocolate and banana. Why? I prefer beer to banana. As this warms, the bourbon comes through nicely and makes a one trick pony a complex wonder full beverage. I hate to say I like this.

750mL bottle, pours a motor oil black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with intense bananas, sort of like a banana bread, with none of the other elements noticeable. Flavour is also loaded with banana, but actually showcases some of the Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, followed by a touch of vanilla. This might be the first banana beer I've actually enjoyed. That caramelized banana really works along with the subtle bourbon. Excellent. Congrats to these guys for being able to do a high-quality banana beer.

Dark brown. The aroma is chocolate-covered banana. On the palate, it's lots of banana, lots of chocolate, some hot bourbon barrel notes. Well, I mean, it's got a lot of banana, which I don't like, but it's almost balanced with hot bourbon barrel and chocolate.
