A serendipitous social media exchange has given life to an American Pale Ale collaboration with Aldi that we've called ALD IPA. Weighing in at a sessionable 4.7%, the beer boasts a baseline of extra pale malt that gives the Citra, Chinook and Mosaic hops a stage in which to shine. Notes of freshly cut grass, citrus peel and resin boogie amongst flavours of stone fruit and pine. The moderate bitterness make it an extremely drinkable number, but it won't be around forever, so grab yours while you can!

Had several cans at home. Pretty clean, easygoing, bit of pithy lemon and grapefruit, lean pale malts, light bitter straw. Fine overall.

[33cl can from Aldi, Bracknell.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; thin in the mouth with a crisp tropical fruit taste and a slight fizz in the throat; then a dry finish. Instantly forgettable.

Lattina. Al naso l'aroma rimanda al luppolo. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il piano sottostante è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è intenso. La forza gustativa è elevata e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi, pompelmo e ananas.

Can. Light golden, almost clear, good white foam. Aroma: orange flowers and ripe orange, nectar, a little straw and mango. Light taste, slightly sweet, orange, mango and passion fruit, light and relaxed ale.

Can from BrewDog online and drunk at home. Yellow grapefruit aroma. Decent session style ipa good grapefruit flavour and citrus flavours. Yep decent session good fruit. Very drinkable zesty lemon
