Warping Dead Water is a light beer fermented in oak barrels for 4 years and a further 1,5 years on steel along with whole sweet cherries from Frederiksdal (DK). A pleasant scent of sweet cherry liqueur, citrus, apricot, farmhouse and acid. Rich and sour taste of sweet cherries, citrus and grapes. Long maturation has brought out an intense complexity.

Pours dark purplepink. Small pinkwhite head. Scent is full on cherry, aromatic 'swiming pool' features. Taste is sharp, mildly to medium acidic. Very aromatic cherry. Lovely intensity - whilst not overpowering. More than good!

Bottle, 75cl. A lightly hazy reddish brown beer with a small light beige head. Funky, leathery, oaked aroma with loads of cherry. Marzipan, grapes and lemon acid too. It's full to medium bodied, lightly warming, very softly carbonated, with lots of cherry flavor. Funk, wood, marzipan, hints of lemon and grapes in the flavor. Almond, some alcohol and a touch of dark dried fruits in the flavor. Lasting finish. Rather delicious, although I think it's too almondy cherryish. 210130

Clear ruby pour with a purple head. Tons of cherries and sour cherries up front, followed by decent amounts of oak, marzipan, almonds. Delicious stuff.
