This brew is a dark brown color with a medium tan head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Light-bodied with a sweet chocolate flavor and notes of coffee and mild hops. The finish is roasty with a short chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Nice aroma, friendly charcoal. Pours darkk, thick and moosy. Dark chocolate bitter savory impressions. Some licorice. Little CO2. Longer near mild imp stout finish, without the alky. Not sure if this dry er not.

Bottle. Beer of the Month club. Black-colored with a quickly-diminishing bubbly beige head. Roasty aroma of coffee (a bit ice-coffee like), caramel and nutty notes. Bittersweet roasted malt flavor with coffee, some coffee beans and a drier, mildly bitter finish. Medium-bodied with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a kinda cola like dark brown with a medium head that dies to a few bubbles in the couple of minutes that I spend watching the Bruins get bounced from the playoffs. Aromas are sweet and weak. A little bit of brown sugar and chocolate, some earth and nothingness. Flavor is even more bland... kind of a cardboard/wet paper presence with a little chocolate malt, a bit of earth and nut and a washed out finish. Seriously meh...

bottle pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is very nutty, earthy with notes of roasted malt. Sour/bitter roasted malt and a dry finish with little to no hop presence, lots of burnt malt.

12oz bottle from a beer of the month club. Pours a watery, opaque black with a very thin, cloudy white head. Ultimately, the head completely fades leaving something that looks like Diet Coke. The aroma is HUGE on coffee. I can’t believe this isn’t a coffee stout. It smells like pure coffee grounds. The nose also has some nuts, like toasted cashews, very dark toasted bread. Flavor is lightly sweet, milk chocolate, toasted malts, breads, pumpernickel, nuts, coffee, a little cola, a little brown sugar, a little cashew. Finish is dry and medium bodied.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Aromas of wheat bread, cinnamon, coffee, black licorice. Pours brownish black with a thick tan head which dissipates in two minutes, leaving a collar of foam full of big ugly bubbles. Looks like a Pepsi. Virtually no lacing. Tastes very roasty. Starts sweet and finishes just slightly bitter. Medium-high carbonation. A little watery. Overall, a fairly boring stout.

Bottle. Pours a near black with a thin medium brown head. Aroma is of burnt buttery popcorn, can’t really describe it any other way. Flavor begins with roasted malts but the buttery finishes it off.

Pour is a complete black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with a little smokeyness. Flavor is again a big roasted malt with a little coffee and chocolate left on the tounge after the swallow. The better of the 2 beers i’ve had from this brewer.
