(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20110921) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, molasses and caramell. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, hops, caramell and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Nice maltiness but the beer lacks character.

Bottled (Thanks to my buddy John S.). Golden colour, slightly off-white head. Aroma is bready and caramel malty along with some slight notes of herbs and fruits. Flavour is caramel and bready malts along with some slight hoppyness and herbal notes. Alternative Oktoberfest beer, but rather nice.

From tap at Bishops Arms. Pours clear golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced and light fruity. Malty, spiced and caramelish flavoured. On the dark malty side. Lingering roasted and bitter flavoured finish.

Draft. A nut brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, and wood - very malty, leading to a dry roasted finish. A bit odd for an Oktoberfest, but nice.

Really good. Has a full body and a nice chestnut color. Nose of roasted malts. Flavor has pronouced malt backbone along with some nice bitterness. A mild hop presence gives the beer a crisp, smooth finish.

Tap @ Sorbon. One of my favorite oktoberfest beer. A bit more hoppy compared to the german ones. Nice chocolate.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2008) Reddish amber colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins and toast. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, dried fruit and raisins. Medium bitterness, slightly spicy hops. Rather sweet. Nice and tasty beer in the darker American oktoberfest style.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear nut brown. Sweet and caramelly. Blown up cookie malt form a midsized body with clean edges. Toffee is more or less the one flavour. Finishes with fairly low bitterness. A beer with a pleasant surface, but no depth and no resemblance to the style it’s marketed as.
