Michigan didn’t invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we’ve created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic – one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Pours an oily jet Black beige head. Dissipate. Smell is dark chocolate fudge vanilla. Taste is same. Mild roast and a little burny

Deep black with a rust colored wisp of foam. It’s full bodied but the carbonation is a touch raspy rather than smooth which I didn’t expect. The aroma is a maple fudge and the taste was sweet but without boozy heat.
Really quite nice, a good dessert beer.

(Five variant KBS vertical) Poured from 355mL bottle (bottled 08.09.22 - 11%). Very dark brown with small beige head. Fudgy chocolate, feint maple and coffee underlay. The adjuncts really change this from the original, enjoyable.

Dark brown. Thin head. Light maple note on the aroma, along with some chocolate syrup. The body is heavy on the chocolate syrup, like whatever chocolate pump a mediocre coffee shop spurts onto whipped cream...so here's a stout for people who don't like stout modelled after a coffee for people who don't like coffee.
Thanks, Ryan!

Bottle from Pub-up-beershop, Wolvega. Aroma is chocolate, oak, roasted malt, fudge, notes of bourbon, a little coffee, vanilla, soft maple, caramel toffee. Flavour is medium sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium to full body. Well-rounded, rich and not overtly sweet. Exemplary!

Pulled out of my cellar. Dark brown almost black with a skim of a head. Aroma is all chocolate. Taste is also all chocolate.

Tap at Skaal, Copenhagen 22 March 2024 Dark roasted and sweet malty with lots of rich chocolate, some coffee roast, singed brown sugar, maple fudge and caramel sticky sweetness throughout, full bodied, warming dark sweet malty finish. Lovely.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, caramel fudge, roasted malt, and Bourbon. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, caramel fudge, roasted malt, vanilla, and a bit of Bourbon, leading to a dry finish.
