Aromatic barley malts and an exquisite belnd of hops combine to create a wonderful balance of sweet biscuit and subtle fruit flavours, with a hint of chocolate bitterness. (Contains barley).

Dark copperbrown beer with quite weak and beige head. Aroma is sweet and malty, syrup, redcurrants and some aromatic hops. Flavour is similar than aroma, red berries, sweet malts with biscuity and wooden charicters that dries the aftertaste. Quite light to drink but still nice. Too uninspirating beer, no complaints, but nothing to remember. This beer is now tasted but probably it isn’t for my glass anymore in the future.

Flaske 0,5l kjøpt på Centra Colosseum, Oslo. Mørk brun på farge. Lavt kremaktig skum. Antydning til ristet malt i aromaen. Litt svisker. Smaken i samme gate. Ganske fruktig med en syrlig bitter ettersmak. Tørr avslutning. En bra ølopplevelse ut fra (mangel på) styrke.

[500ml bottle from Morrisons, High Wycombe] Reddish-brown with good beige head - an attractive beer. Carbonation is fine but prickly - a bit too much so for the style. The sweet Adnams malt is obvious from the off, but there’s a little bitterness there too. Odd toothpastey mint comes through before a strong woodiness and some light, sharp fruit (raspberry). Pleasing chocolate, caramel and butter in the finish is reminiscent of an Innis & Gunn brew. A very decent bottle of beer aside from the irritating fizz. As usual for Adnams, it’s very different to the cask version, and for this particular beer the bottle is a lot better.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Cookie caramel and licorice in both aroma and flavor. Thin, grapes. Some earthy hops. Sweet and sticky. Just a hint of salt. Tasty but not my taste.
