Stormachtig weer, plotselinge kou, tegenwind in alle richtingen.

On tap @ Hopfen Dank Fest, Birreria Duexer Botschaft, Köln. Pours dark opaque brown, with a creamy, off white head. Aroma is acetic, with oxidized notes of leather, dark fruits and cherries. Medium body, watery texture, with soft carbonation. Flavour is oxidized notes of leather, dark fruits and iced coffee, as well as fruity brett with red berries.

375ml bottle as Nevel Noest, thanks to MonsterMagnet for this! Pours a deep dark brown with ruby hints, off-white light beige head. Aroma sees a mild combination of red berry, liquorice, brett. Taste is similarly light with earthy leather, liquorice, red berry, gentle brett, molasses with gentle sour oud bruin notes. More brett would've been welcome and perhaps a sharper sour character but it's decent overall.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna/nera, schiuma beige media. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Non male.

Small yellow-cream head over deep ruby-shot black beer. Bretts/wild yeasts, lactic acid, sourish nose at first. Then roast/burnt and rusty metalslug odours take over. Roast, burnt, rust, but also molasses, liquorice. Again wild yeasts, horseblanket, faint lactic acid present in the background. Hints at sweeter malts. Medium bodied at best, light acidthinning, medium carbonation. Bretts make it quite lean, maybe a tad too lean. Tastes OK.

Draught @ Van Moll brewpub. Brown color with a red glow. Average sized off-white head. Smell and taste both remind me of a porter with strawberries and brett. Although, at first I thought it would be some sort of Flemish red-brown. Turned out to be much better imo. Very well done, I like this one.
