Bouteille 33cl, BB 03/2021. Assez étonnant d'une telle date pour ce type de stout impérial.
Noire, col fin crémeux café au lait.
Arôme est fort axé sur les malts - retrouve de chocolaté, grillé, note fine de café, caramel, pâle voire crystal. Léger rétro en fruit rouges/noirs.
Palais est épais, malté sur une bonne dose de chocolat noir amer avec une belle rondeur de l'avoine. Note caramel avec cet effet caramel salé plutôt bien placé.
Pour moi, le plus réussie de la série. Classique, straight to the point.

33cl bottle from the brewery in Brussels. F: huge, dark tanned, very long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, bit spicy, dark dried fruits, caramel, dark bread crust. T: full malty base, light oily mouthfeel, roasted tones, cocoa, coffee, dark caramel, dark chocolate, dry on the palate, bit spicy, long lasting harmonic bitterness, nice balanced yet not very typical for the style of course.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, non adhesive. Aroma: coffee, roasted, bit smoky, alcohol, ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted, very bitter, bit resinous, hoppy, alcohol, more roast, bit metallic. Aftertaste: bit sourish, malty, lots and lots of dark chocolate, very bitter, bit medicinal, almost chemical, too hoppy and bitter, some cocoa powder, coffee grit.
