Cloudy blond colour with thin head. Aroma is floral and herbal. Flavour is similar but with some hop bitterness and a little hint of coconut. Quite funky. Low carbonation. Interesting and weird.

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Hazy golden with white head. Sour grainy and mango, peachy fruitiness, some fine herbs. Creamy yoghurt. Smooth edges. Moderate sweet and bitter, mild sour and rich fruity. Slightly over medium body, bit gelly, with somewhat low carbonation. Quite nice stuff.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro! Hazy dull orange golden with white head. Peach yoghurt, toasted wood, soft caramel, spicy funk, light grains, thick creamy grain soup with dank cellar and a bit of rum. Grapefruit, wet earthy stone fruit. Medium sour, almost medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with thick creamy rye feel. Quite nice!

Blonde sour ale aged on bourbon barrels, a collaboration of Nevel with Eindhoven's superstar Van Moll. From tap at Bar Beenhouwer in Ghent. Thin and dissolving, egg-white, open ring for a head on a cloudy peach blonde beer with ochre-ish hue. Aroma of old and oxidized (medium dry) sherry, purple gooseberries, plum juice, very old sweet white wine, cooked apples, strong soaking wet oak wood including the vanilla, dried mint leaves, pear, rainwater, rhubarb juice. Softly sour onset, old wrinkled apples, stewed pears and gooseberries, sweetish core with tart edges, bit plum-like as well, medium carbonated with smooth mouthfeel; slender cereally and slightly caramelly malt body dried by tartness but in a soft way, strongly soaked in an oxidized sherry- and old wine-like character that lingers on over a tannic oaky finish with lots of lingering sweet-and-sour fruitiness, dryish but quenching and long, with a vague floral aspect somewhere. Highly drinkable yet 'noble' in its old oxidized wine-like profile, very sherry-ish, with an Alvinne-like play of sweet and sour; would love to revisit this one at home.

Bottle. Rye, licorice and citrus in the aroma. Dry, slightly sour, citric flavor. I can’t taste the bourbon. Soft licorice and vanilla. Lovely!

Bottle. Color: Hazy orange amber, dense white head. Aroma: Moderate tart, fruity, Bourbon hints. Taste: Fruity, yellow fruit, peach. Moderate tart and sweet, light bitterness. Bit dense and smooth mouthfeel, caused by the used rye. Notes of coconut and wild yeast funk. Going into fruity with Bourbon and with coconut hints towards and at the finish. Also bit boozy at the finish. Notes of wood tannins, dry-ish mouthfeel. Rather weird but nice Bourbon twist. Medium to just over medium body, below average carbonation.
