Copper-coloured, well rounded best bitter. Good balance of malt & hops in the flavour.

Handpull cask at the Old Horse, Leicester. Light reddish brown, extra clear with a foamy off-white head. The scent is quite astringent and metallic with a bit of stone fruit and forest floor. Bittersweet taste with an astringent sour. Short finish, soft carbonation. Woody aftertaste. Does not work for me.

4.0% Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2015. Clear brown amber colour no real head. Malty under attenuated aroma. Malty sweet. Some condition. But it’s very malty and barley led. Vague hop on finish. Not good.

Bottle at the Cherry Tree, Catthorpe - 16/05/12. Amber copper coloured with a medium white head. Malt, grain, a little fruit in the nose, no great essence of any discerning aroma! Bitter tasting with a little fruit and malt. Medium bodied, a little over carbonated. Whelmed !
