Short pour at Torst, December 2024, couple weeks before Matt. Flat, dark cola, ring of lace. Lots of dry cinnamon & holiday spice on the nose, with a vague leftover cookie dough malt. Taste is super spice, wood & cinnamon cake, light frosting, doughy finish, lacks some roast. Delicate carb, flimsy abv, thin baked body, nice feels but it isn't what I expected.

On tap at T�rst, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of cherry bitters upfront, with everything else pretty buried. Flavour is much the same, with intense cherry bitters dominating; not getting the bourbon, salt or generally the malty strong ale underneath. Pretty disappointing for Firestone.

Pours black with a beige head that doesn't last long. Aroma's: sweetish, spices and herbs (clove), vermouth, woody, tobacco, Italiano. Retronasal it's sweetish, spices, drop. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter, with a hint of salt. Medium bodied. Warming alcohol. Finishes with spices, moderate bitter.
