Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with cinnamon - Dark malt body with a strong cinnamon flavour and some good wood flavours in the back - The spicy cinnamon flavour goes into the finish with some wood barrel flavours - This was good

Thick and inky. Drops slowly into the glass. Big cinnamon on the palate, like deep herbal toothpaste thing. But it's rich, lots of sugars, and a bit of rounded bourbon character. Fairly complex, just enough bitterness to help balance out those sugars. A splash of alcohol in the finish.

22oz @ Matt's new place. Appearance: pours like oil, very dark brown with weak dark beige head. Aroma: quite sophisticated cinnamon, sweet, barrel notes. Taste: along the same lines, good body, moderately sweet, some chocolate. Overall: pretty nicely balanced, those who like cinnamon would love this one I am pretty sure.

Poured from 650mL bottle (2020 vintage). Black with minimal beige head. Chocolate, cinnamon, bit of bourbon, not as sweet as most Cycle pastry stouts. It's okay.

Bottled 2020. 22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma brings out intense dark sugars, gentle cinnamon, and big bourbon notes. Flavour has some green peppery cinnamon, bourbon barrels, dark sugars, and some earthiness. Lots of earthy cassia bark that finishes somewhat green peppery. Not too sweet, nice bourbon character. Hmm, interesting one; good, but not my favourite of the Cuvee series that I've tried.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, dark brown head. BA supported, sweet-ish, roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly spicy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, Bourbon, cinnamon, hints of dark toffee, a touch of treacle, marmite, liquorice root. Taste is sweet, spicy, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, treacle, cinnamon, some dark toffee, liquorice root, a touch of marmite, notes of Bourbon, a touch of vanilla, caramel, Marsala, Sherry; BA dominated finish with very late incipient, minimally warming, alcoholic touch. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, cloying palate, medium, soft, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Rich and intense, almost a bit agressive cinnamon notes, solid Impy Stout base, very nice Marsala/Sherry effect at the point of ultimate amalgamation of flavours - very nice, fairly diversified, though not the most complex Pastry beer/sipper.
