[ As AF Brew / De Molen Kupola & Pastila ].Murky dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, cake, chocolate, ginger - apple pie. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, cake, orange, ginger - apple pie, chocolate. Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival, Day 1. Dark brown color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, red fruit, cake. (Dutch: "net een Sultana bosfruit of hoe heette dat ding ook weer?"). Meh. Not my thing.

Borefts X. Day 1. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft, but still with decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts bring a good creamy sweetness. A little dark chocolate. A lovely fruitiness here, almost like tubes of pastilles have been disolved in the beer. Some chocolate cake with a dusting of icing sugar. Smooth finish bring subtle winey vibe. Lovely.

Draft at Borefts 2018. Aroma of anise, chocolate and mocha. Taste has anise, chocolate, sugar and malt. Not my flavor.

Black with a lump of cake on top. Aroma and flavour have some winter spices next to the roasted malts.

On tap at Borefts '18. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of appelstroop, apple pie, blueberries, jam, roasted malts, mint, cardamon. Flavour of apple pie, blueberry jam, mint, roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, light metallic, bittersweet finish. Medium to full bodied. Weird.
