Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle conditioned beer. Each vintage is a blend of that year’s finest malt and hops, creating a unique limited edition brew. Being bottle conditioned, it is after bottling that the flavours truly begin to develop, and continue to do so well beyond the best before date that we are obliged to state.
The 2009 Vintage features Kent grown Golding Hops and East Anglian Tipple malted barly. It has an intial aroma of rich Muscavado sugar followed by a brandied caramelised [sic] orange palate and finishes with a creamy vanilla warmth.

Bottle 63349 from The Bottle Shop. I like this beer. I like this beer with a couple of years on it. Hazy deep orange amber with thick lasting beige head. Syrupy malty spicy aroma. Candied fruits fruit peel. Black pepper hop aroma. Mmmmm warm juicy lovely malts with lots of lemon and orange peel. Smooth carbonation. Good pepper hop. Good spicyness. I do like this beer. Just a touch of mustiness on aroma. But I love the fruit in the mouth. Smmoth caramel in mouth along with the fruit. Tasty as hell.

Flaske 0,5l på Den Tatoverede Enke, København 5 Nov 11. Mørk gylden. Nesten ikke skum. Rik aroma. Sherrypreg. Plommer. Smaken er også som plommer og annen søt frukt. Syrlig fruktig ettersmak. Meget vinøs og god! Avsluttet et fantastisk måltid på “Enka”. Topp mat & ølplass.

Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours red-gold with a wild, white film. Leafy, herbal and lightly piney hops in the aroma, along with subtle caramel, toast and crackers. Very sweet flavor, lovely jam notes, some booze, ripe fruits. Full bodied with average but mouth-filling carbonation. Warm finish, notes of cake, toast, jammy fruits, faint leafy bitters, toasty sugars. Very nice.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy, orange appearance with a small off white head. Toffee, caramel, grape, plum, slight earthy hoppy aroma. Somewhat fruity-some citrus, plum, raisin- toffee, caramel, somewhat bitter, earthy hoppy flavor with a fairly strong, tangy, caramel aftertaste. Finish is a little strong.
