Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 13.10.14. Very dark brown. Beige head. Burnt caramel and roasted almonds in aroma, with almond bitterness like a good marzipan. Marzipan-like taste. One of the better Schwarzbiers. Good drinkability.

Bottle from a Grocery Outlet. Pours dark coppery brown with a transient beige head. Aroma of dark treacle. Med body. Flavor is treacle with hints of chocolate - and maybe something dark malty that’s not treacly. Decent schwarzbier.
