Golden pour. Bright flavor of hops and wheat. Taste of tangerine with a finish of butter pecans on the palate.

Can pour into tulip glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is clear golden-orange with trace sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is heavy bready malt component offset by milder lemon citrus. Taste is slightly stronger lemon citrus than aroma but still heavy bready malt. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the lemondrop doesn't shine through enough. Not novel enough to be interesting. Just OK.

Clear golden coloured body with a peach glow, some small bubbles rising from the sideso f the glass and a thin, single centimetre tall, off-white, large-bubbled head. Aroma of grass, alcohol, pine, flowers, hay and a healthy dose of cleanser - deep and astringent thorughout the nose. Medium-bodied; Deep grassy and herbal flavour with a lot of pine, malt and especially astringent flavours noticeable. Strong hops on the finish that have more character than bitterness - fairly nice and robust. Aftertaset shows some bittterness from the hops with a grassy and herbal bite, but also dry and lightly medicinal - strong throughout the finish. Overall, a deep and robust beer with a good balance, but deep, astringent flavours and a smooth, light fruit-based sweetness at the absolute end - a nice and subtle variance from before. Good to try, but not great nor really recommended when other Imperial IPAs are around - but it's definitely not a bad beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchaased from Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virgini on 13-September-2019 for US$3,65 sampled at my house a few blocks away in Washington on 14-Sptember-2019, just a day later.

On the mild side for a Troegs DIPA. Easygoing hop front offers up candied orange zest and grapefruit, while the back end has a bready yeast streak and an understated mineral bitterness. Texture comes across a tad harsh, but otherwise a decent big IPA.

Can from Village Beer Merchant. Clear golden. Malty, caramel, bit grainy, alcoholic. Pine, citric. Quite mediocre and poor for a troegs beer.

Tallboy can from Beer Run. Hazy gold, thin white head, poor retention. Aroma of toast, lemon. Taste is lemon, tropical fruit, toast, apple. Medium bodied, muddled. Disappointing

Whoa, big disappointment. Definitely not one of their better beers. Aromas are hops solvents minerals a little bit of soap. Flavors are like nose, out of balance, sweet up front with a lingering putrid sweetness the clashes with some bitterness. There's also some rotten fruit and the solvents come on stronger. Not sure if this is going to be a drain pour or not.

Pour is a almost clear pale lager blonde with a large white head. Aroma is citrus and lemon. Flavor is some honey malt with some lemony bitter citrus hop. Clean and easy to drink but not a lot of gusto here. Some citrus and bitter hops but not much else.
