Bottle at KØ14. Sweet coffee and vanilla syrup aroma. Clear dark chestnut colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is sweetish with a good coffee note. Hint of vanilla in the finish, but not as much as feared.

Bottle that’s been sat for a while in the cellar. Very dark, clear, chestnut brown. Minimal, tan head. Smells like a cheap Easter egg. Tastes pretty much the same. That’ll be the added glucose syrup, then... I don’t get it. I don’t get it with food and I don’t get it with drink. Stop adding stuff that isn’t necessary, just to appeal to people who don’t care what they consume anyway... I can’t imagine Batemans are the only ones, mind. It’s just that M&S do a good job listing ingredients.
