Smooth sweet malty with rich caramel sweetness, singed brown sugar, notes of raisins, sultana, medium plus body, cognac soaked wooden accents laced into the sweet warming boozy finish. Lovely.

Deep brown with a small beige head. Toffee and dark raisin with a light woody note. Rich and thick, prune and some raisin and a light sweet date finish. Tons of dark fruit and a nice body. Solid and the booze is not there at all.

22/9/18: Tasting to see if the bottle should age more. Answer: not really, no. Loads of cognac, amazingly smooth, woody, boozy, sweet. Gorgeous beer.
4/1/22: Batch 247. Very dark brown, itty bit of tan foam. Biig woody smell, some raisins, some brandy. Body is a bit on the light side, but not disturbingly so. Quite some boozyness. Flavourwise very nice still, sweet, raisiny, cognac. Highly drinkable, tasty.
