Hazy dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is semi dry and just a little soft. Minerals. Mildly sour malt with a whisper of smoke. Very mild red berry fruits underneath. Dry finish. A decent little beer.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Nose of roast coffee, roast chocolate and smoked malt. Taste is lacking - mostly likely smoked and roasted chocolate malt. Body is very thin. Lacks complexity.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark caramel and coffee. Taste has some chocolate as well. A little overcarbonated, but a swirl improves things and makes the lovely head return. Dries out at the end but only a slight spiciness suggests bitterness. Not really my sort of thing.

Green bottle. A dense off-white head forms over this garnet-tinged dark brown brew. Sweet candy malt aroma. The flavor starts sweet but never really builds up enough momentum to go any further. Some dryness towards the finish. Thin, empty.

Green bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with an off-white head and a hazy brown body. Aroma is caramel, watery water (yes, wrote that in my notebook). Taste is honey, metallic notes, tea and bitter. Light bubbles.

12.7 ounce bottle from The Libation Station in Johnson City, TN. Pours a dary hazy brown color with a large brown frothy head. Fair head retention and lacing. A bit of skunk when the bottle is first opened which dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma of sweet malts with a hint of dark fruits. Taste is bitter malts, some graininess, faint raisins and VERY faint chocolate. Thin-medium bodied.

Dark brown. A bit murky-looking. Interesting nose - dark toffee/molasses thing is promising. This character carries through on a medium body. At the end, there is some toastiness.
