Cask at the Southampton Arms on 29th March 2011. Copper with thin off-white head. Initially very sweet with fruitiness, mainly berries. Then sharp switch to grassy, herby hoppiness. This bitter hoppy theme continues to a rich finish with a cheesy note and citric touch on the tongue. The cheesy note also being picked up by fellow drinker "Anthony A" at same time as myself. Lingering hoppiness and a light smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Copper coloured with a dense cream head; aroma of sour autumn fruits; smooth and creamy texture; autumn fruit flavours with a touch of toffee sweetness to start, then tart grapefruit; the finish has some dry bisuity malts and lingering grapefruit. Very drinkable.

Cask at Merton Winter Beer Festival 2005 (retrospectively added from diary notes) Not really what I would call a typical winter beer as strength lacking a bit, amber coloured, small white head nice bitterness nothing special.
