Cuvée du Château is a perfect beer for food pairing. The taste is similar to an aged Kasteel Donker that has been maturing for ten years with hints of port. Delicate hop bitters in the finish follow the initial hints of roasted and caramelised malt.

Cuvée du Château equals the taste of a ten years matured Kasteel Donker. The taste of the beer towards port. This "premier cru classé" was developed on the basis of a "quadruple". In this type of strong, sweet to bitter dark brown beer, the malt predominates. The Cuvée du Chateau has the characteristics of a maderized beer, with first notes of roasted and caramelized malt, followed by a delicate hop bitter in the aftertaste. A fully-fledged gourmet beer.

Big alcohol kick. Pleasant dark ale, but still that weird kasteel sweetness, luckily less than in the donker.
