Aroma of malt, yeast, fruits, some spicy notes, coriander, hint of vegetables, slight hint of jenever. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light bitter finish. Not a bad Belgian Ale, jenever is very subtle.

0.75 l bottle as Abbaye de St. Amand. Aroma: malt, honey, fruit, candy, jam and just a hint of pine. Taste: malty, fruity, light bitterness of hops and juniper. An interesting ale.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Slight gusher. Pours a slightly hazy golden/amber colour with a medium sized foamy off-white head. Aromas of yellow fruits and doughy bread. Taste has more of the yellow fruit notes with some peppery spice and a little touch of sweetness. Nicely balanced. A light mild hoppy note on the finish. Thin to medium body, fair carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent Beer.

Donkergeel bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter hoppig met iets van jenever, abrikoos en graan. Erg fijn bier.

Light orange color. Alcohol and juniper aroma. Thin alcoholic genever flavor. Some apple, just a bit dusty. More drinkable than other genever beers (Rader), but lacks balance and body.
