Cask-conditioned at the WG Grace (JDW), Bristol 20/10/2012. Dark brown with a hint of red and tight, off-white head. Sweet caramel and berry fruit aroma with a trace of roastiness. Flavour had more sweetness, with plenty of fruit and a touch of chocolate before a decent, bitter finish. Good.

Cask at Assembly House, London. Pours clear, dark ruby with a fine, beige froth. Holds a mild, semi-dark fruit nose with some dark malts, grapes, light berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasty sugars and light, burnt leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly dry to finish with some crunchy leaves, lightly toasted malts and grapes. Bland, but fine.
